Faces of Miami

This is Miguel Espinoza. I first met him about 20 years ago when I was working in Little Havana.  He was a bad alcoholic and was constantly going in and out of jail.  Approximately 15 years ago he decided he had enough and began going to church.  As he explains it, he allowed God to help him fight his demons.  Miguel also rekindled his love of cycling.  As it turns out, in 1976 Miguel represented Nicaragua in the Summer Olympics as a cyclist.  Miguel visits me often and we talk mostly about cycling and about my cousin Nelson Trujillo who is also a cyclist.  Miguel does not hold any bad feelings for the officers who arrested him countless times, because they all pleaded with him to stop drinking. He finally listened.
