Honeymoon Island

While traveling through the West Coast of Florida in my self-built campervan, I came upon Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Fl. I had never ventured into this part of Florida. What an amazing place, felt like “Old Florida”. It was here that I met Marty. Marty was in his van near the water, as was I. He was in a Chevy Astro Van. I love vans and this one brought back memories of a GMC Safari Van I had years back. I went over and introduced myself and began talking about our vans. It turns out Marty is 69 years old and is from New York. Marty is old school, he works with his hands, uses a paper map and plays the guitar (all Beatles music). Marty has been retired for 16 years and spends his time between New York, where he owns a property, and living in his van in Dunedin, where his parents were from. I hope my retirement years are as peaceful and relaxed as Marty’s. Here are some of the images I captured while parked at the waters edge…
